Candles are made to order so please allow yourself plenty of time if purchasing for that special occassion or gift.
Prices vary and are available upon request.
Candle refill service also available upon request for a small charge.
Safety instructions for candles:
Keep lit candle cups away from anything that is flammable.
Never carry a lit candle cup.
Handle with care when lighting.
Position lit candle cup away from children, pets, and draughts.
Place lit candle cups on protective heat proof surface before lighting.
Always keep the wick in the cup trimmed to 0.5 cm and allow 1m clearance above the lit candle cup.
Never leave the lit candle cup unattended.
Regularly examine teacups for any cracks and if any appear DO NOT light candle cup.
When candle is used, soak cup in washing up liquid overnight and carefully clean the cups with a gentle scourer before using as a tea cup. A refill service is available for all candles in tea cups for a small fee.
The candles should last for approximately nine hours. Lighting time varies depending on depth of cup.
Candles cannot be lit at Hatswell Meadows Wedding Venue.
China cups make good vessels for sowing bulbs. In these cups are snowdrops. They flower from mid winter, keep soil moist but do not over water. Can be planted in your garden once the flowering season has ended. The cup can then be used for another small plant. Make sure that you put a small amount of gravel with soil or at bottom of cup to allow for drainage.
